Drag across squares (or Shift+click) to select an area for Yellow or Picture…. . makes a clue square, # a grey square, - a word-end bar, > a small triangle that splits a sentence into words (the answer goes on, but each word must be in the word lists). Thick arrow turns a square into a big arrow that starts an answer, for example from a picture caption. Select a clue square to write its clue and pick the arrow; press Enter in a clue for a new line and type - to split a long word. Answers run from the arrow until the next clue square, picture, edge or bar.

Type letters to fill. . toggles a black square, * a circle. Tab jumps to the next entry, Enter or a second click switches direction, Space erases forward. Pencil letters (grey) come from autofill.
